Making Things in the Woods

Satyrday, October 3, 2009   1-4

At the Hamptonburgh/Walkill River Preserve

of the Orange County Land Trust  (Rts 207/416 near Campbell Hall)

Come for an Adventure in the Woods with renowned rustic artist Daniel Mack as we are guided back, way back, for a time to just explore, play and build with what we find in the woods.  With Dan, we will explore one of the many beautiful woodlands of the Orange County Land Trust.  We will discover the blow down, fallen and debris wood and start to play with it making tangled fences, lean-to shelters and rough trellises which will all be left right there in the Woods.  In this day of play, we will learn a few rustic construction tricks and have a good old time.

All ages are welcome.

Please bring with work gloves and some snack food to share with the group.

Daniel Mack is a natural forms artist and teacher.  He lives in Warwick, NY. more at: www.danielmack.com
