Some people believe that tools have their own life. There is a mystery to tools. Sometimes some work and sometimes they are not cooperative. I understand that so I have other ones available which may be more willing to work with me.

Tools, like children, pets, and other relationships, require time and attention... for cleaning and care and admiration... Nonetheless, that does not guarantee peak performance all the time. It's best to have a few cousins available. Finally, I have several places I like to keep tools. Some here, some there, Some upstairs, some in the basement.

Just think if a earthquake trapped me in the back of my shop and the only cordless drill was in the front of the shop!

Sometimes a new tool comes on the market and it's just so beautiful... and fast and powerful... it's balanced so well... But my old tool still works fine.

So this is why I have several of each tool...
