I'm still carving Hudson River bark.
Recently, I've started carving small stones:
marble from the beaches of Paros, Greece and
slate from Hudson Valley streambeds.
On the Olympic Peninsula a few months ago, I collected "knots", those resiny connections
between the trunk of a tree and the branches.
As they decay, they get shaped into long, layerly, wicky forms. Some are becoming handles for my carvings.
I still make those small collage cards, Imaginal Trading Cards and have a set-up available for visitors to try making some themselves.
Childrens Chairs $600 each
Rustic Materials--slabs of wood, tools, collage
materials... really an Artist's Yard Sale.
"Do-It YourShelf"
I have a collection of particular wood pieces that
make interesting small wall shelves, altars really.
$50 each with the mounting hardware.
The Studio--and the property--are really interesting
to look at. My debris fences in the back yard has
grown into the neighbor's property.
